this jacket!
Love the buttons at the top and the printed design inside the hood. Get it at Anthropologie, $178.
This past weekend I spent much of it in San Francisco. So glad the weather was bright and sunny...and warm!
First stop? The SF Zoo. I can't remember the last time I was there. It was fun, but the animals seemed sad, and totally bored. Most of the animals were sleeping, too. My favorite part though? The gay penguins!
Sunday was Crissy Field. Now I really don't think I've been there before. Which is sad, because it's gorgeous. With the sun out, the crowds flocked to the beach. I was there for a BBQ with some old high school friends in the field area, but I managed to sneak off to the beach to feel the warm sand. It's been a long time!

I had made some bulletin boards during Christmas, and I still had more homasote pieces left, so...I made more bulletin boards.
Here's my sister's. The fabric is Marimekko, which I got from the Crate & Barrel Outlet in Berkeley for...wait for it...$6.95/yd!! Deal, I know.

Here's mine, where I used the Ikea Patricia fabric ($7.99/yd).
That's right, Dine About Town in SF is coming back again! I only got to try one restaurant back in January, so can't wait to see what summer offerings the restaurants will give us in June.
Here's the list of participating restaurants.
Ta-da! I finally used my new sewing machine, and here's what I made:
It's a case for a DS Lite. I was going to make one for my sister with some Japanese fabric I got a couple weeks ago, but I need some practice first. This fabric was leftover, and I had yellow thread, so there ya go.
I visited the Legion of Honor in SF this past weekend to view the Annie Leibovitz exhibition.

I've always been a fan of her celeb photos, especially those Vanity Fair covers. This exhibit not only showed those, but also her personal photographs of family and friends. She gives commentary on some pictures that just make it all the more powerful.
The exhibition's on until May 25, so go soon! It was quite crowded when I went, so be prepared for some waiting in lines.
Saw this the other day on NOTCOT and it totally made my day. Hilarious!!
Look what I found in my phone's photo album:
Passed by this in SF about a month ago, near Union Square.
