NYMag did a slideshow of cupcakes in New York. They look so yummy. I'll be heading to NY in July, and those bakeries better be ready for me. I'm grouchy when I don't get my sweets.
Isn't this umbrella cute? It would help keep my shoulders dry. Heh.
My current sunglasses broke over the weekend, so I'm off looking for a new pair. I actually have other glasses that I should use...but you know me, I like to look around.Um, I better not drop these:
A classic pair:

I can get two of these (cuz one will probably fall and break):
Loving this idea of using pant hangers to display art.
I'm getting this hoodie for a gift, but I'm so tempted to buy one for myself. Looks so comfy.
Since I can't get this or this, I'll settle for these cool stamps:
Cutest picture (and story). Ever.
A couple weeks ago I was browsing through this new-ish (to me, at least) store called Martin + Osa. I saw a good-looking scarf, but I didn't much like it's $48 price tag and that it was dry clean only. But today I found a version very close to it, by American Eagle Outfitters. It's on sale for $11.95 and it's machine washable. I know the two stores have the same parents, but I didn't think their products would be that similar. Hopefully the AE one won't rip in the wash though!
Usually when I carry my digital SLR in my purse, I just put it in an unpadded little bag. I should upgrade to this neoprene pouch, which will protect my baby from all the junk in my bag.
Get it at Amazon, $20.25
Finally finished up the sunglasses case I made awhile back. I added iron-on velcro, which was so easy to do, and then added a little tag to it and sent it off to NY. I hope she likes it.
I'm liking this ring from Old Navy
I usually find Axe ads annoying, but this I gotta say is a good one.
Did you know that Brita water filter cartridges are recyclable...in Europe? Yup, we can recycle over there but not here. I just realized that today since I thought I had heard something on the radio for recycling Brita filters.
Turns out, though, that Brita in the US is owned by Clorox, and Clorox doesn't have a recycling program. Boo. So I found this site that has created a petition urging Clorox to get a program started. In the meantime, you can send this group your used filters, which they'll eventually send to Clorox. (They even do pickups if you're in the Bay Area).
So please recycle!
I may need to get this bag (yes, I always say that). But I really have been looking for a bag with shoulder and messenger straps. And this has both! And it comes in a mustard yellow with a brown strap! And it'll fit my big ol' camera! But it's over $500. So place this on my wish list please.
Get it at StandardStyle, $561.
